Entry level sound engineer positions available
Two part time or one full time sound engineer positions are available at Tutuma Social Club, a new jazz venue in mid town Manhattan.
A small room that seats 40 patrons showcases live music every night. Sound reinforcement using a small system for jazz ensembles that range from trios to seven pieces. Music seven days per week. Must have a very laid back personality, ability to deal with performing artists and an acoustic concept for sound. The room is small and as such needs to be balanced carefully. Experience preferred, just out of school may be okay.
Successful candidate will take care of system maintenance as well as operate the equipment on a nightly basis. The clubs recorded music runs through the system, so engineer will also be responsible to keep play lists going.
Sound engineer reports to work at 6pm nightly.
Compensation: Pay is entry level at $8 - $10 per hour depending on experience
